Nomen est Omen! Guided by this motto, we have brought together a curated selection of highlights for this year’s edition of Munich Highlights.
Outstanding works of Classical Modernism and the European post-war avant-garde meet contemporary art. Exceptional works by Max Ernst and Marino Marini enter into dialogue with pieces by Karel Appel, Corneille, Asger Jorn and Lucebert, whose expressive visual language embodies the vibrant artistic spirit of the CoBrA movement.
Bringing the selection into the present day are works by Alain Clément, Riccardo Cordero, Herbert Mehler, Andrea Ventura, Chun Kwang Young and Fabrizio Plessi. A diverse range of materials and artistic approaches—from abstract painting and sculpture to media-based art—come together in a compelling dialogue.
